I took the opportunity to give it a good scrub down while the glass was still in it, to get rid of all the crud that accumulates in the engine bay.

Stripping the bumpers takes awhile, but if you want to get out the spider cracks you really have to bring it down to bare plastic before the epoxy primer. This was very time consuming, and I'm hoping they will stand the test of time.

Here are some Misc Exterior parts after the expoxy primer. This seals and protects while leaving the perfect adhesion surface. I did not choose to sand the primer, it would have added an extra week to the project, but is an option when you want to get your paint super-flat.
