We rolled into West Eastwood Ave in Chicago at 4:45 am, which turned out to be an ideal time to drive into the city with absolutely zero traffic on the roads.  Amira and I had driven through the night instead of camping, and had gone from Yale to Chicago non stop.  Craig drove the 11:30 to 3:30 shift so Amira could get some sleep to do the last hour and a half.  Amira graciously accepted the MVP award for having driven a huge chunk of hours – bringing us from Yale to Ohio.  Craig was awarded the unsung hero award for conquering the tough early morning hours.

What can I say, we had to put some miles behind us and get to some solid Mountain Biking in.  We’re heading up to Cuyuna Mountain Bike Park in Minnesota.  More pictures to come…

While in Chicago we had a chance to catch up with our friend, Brandon Hagg.  He greeted us upon our early arrival and had some great accommodations setup for us to get a few hours of sleep.  The next day we spent waking around his neighborhood in North Chicago, and biking through mid-day and rush hour traffic to get to and from Lake Michigan  As a result, Amira became more proficient with riding in City Traffic, which is most definitely a unique and dangerous skill.

We are glad we were able to spend the evening with Brandon and enjoy some Spicy Thi food in his Neighborhood.  Thanks for having us Brandon! Hope to see you in Tahoe!
