Hello, my name is Evie! I’m 26 years old from Sweden! If you would like to contact me with any questions, please do so here.  I hope you enjoy reading what I’ve learned while on my journey!

What countries have you traveled to so far?

Spain, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Finland, England, Malta, France, USA, and Australia.

What country are you currently in or where are you planning to go?

I’m back home in Sweden looking to travel Asia (India, Bali)

What stage of life are you in?

Professional in My Field

Why embark on your journey?

to check out new scenery, to challenge yourself, to meet new people, to learn something new (skill, trade, etc), to find myself, soul search.

Did your family and friends support your travel plans or did you face opposition and ridicule? Please explain.

My family didn’t want me to travel; they thought it would be a better idea for me to start a family and get a full time job. Thats not for me, at least not yet;) I do what ever I want whenever I want; nothing can stop me if I put my mind into something 😀

What are some of your goals while traveling?

When I travel, I’m traveling to find new paths in life, new sides to myself and make conections around the world with people who vibrate on the same frequency as me :D. I do enjoy the change of places too. I love the heat, the sandy beaches and the jungle, thats where we belong and I feel calm and like home there; feel calm and grounded:) I’m traveling for growth, not just for me, but also for others, the information that I share and people share back, we are passing it forward for a hope of a better place to live:)

At this point, have you been able to achieve any of your goals? If so, how?

Yes, I have. I faced myself and who I really was, as a person in myself and to others. I had the oppertunity to work on my faults and to really accept who I am, and erase who I don’t want to be. I found myself on a hard path, but it was worth it. I’m not done yet and I’m looking for new chances to really dig into myself. I aslo found my spiritual path and I very gratefull to be on it, I’m still growing and will probably never stop. I’m just so happy that the growing has started and how fast it is going. My life is full of abundance and I’m really grateful and happy to be me and living the life I’m in. love

What were some of your fears about traveling before you left?

being alone/loneliness, fear of the unknown

How do you feel you have faced those fears during your trip?

I loved it and I knew that it was a challenge for me to face being alone and not safe. That was the hardest and the best part. It forced me to be uncomfortable and get out of my shell. I’m still working on it, but I can now feel that being social on my own is not a problem, sometimes I find myself in my old habits and I remind myself who I found on my travels and bring that side out. It’s important not to lose what you found on your travels.

Have your dreams of what you might do with your life changed as a result of traveling?

I have changed, but my main goals are still the same. I guess I’ve always been who I wanted to be, but now I’m even more who I want to be and I have an even clearer vision of what life is all about, how I want my life to be, my dreams, goals and how I see the world, opinions and so on 🙂

What are 3 significant things you have learned while being on your adventure?

Happiness really does comes from within (no one/nothing else can give it it to you, if it’s true happiness your looking for).

See the beauty in everything. All the best things are for free and open your eyes to everything around you. When I was sitting on the beach a rainy day in Australia, I was all alone (because of the rain) the ocean was beautiful and the thunder was amazing. I shed a tear of how lucky I am to be able to feel everything around me.

I love a lot and I realized that giving is good, but make sure you keep some for yourself otherwise you run dry. Keep a little love for yourself and you’ll always feel loved, no matter what happens to you.

What advice could you give others who are considering taking some time off to explore themselves and the world?

Make no plans. The universe has it all planned for you and you will be guided to where you are suppose to be. Don’t even make plans on where you are going. It will come to you when you least expect it, so just relax, your life is under control and you will end up where you are meant to be.

Were there any quotes that motivated you along the way?

coo-ee, an aboriginal calling sound for lost people or a “here I am” sound.

What are the top three countries you would like to travel to next?

Bali, India, and everywhere else I haven’t been 😉
